Vanessa Bryant, the mother of four daughters with her late husband Kobe Bryant, is a proud mom.
After the deaths of her husband and their 13-year-old daughter Gianna in a 2020 helicopter crash, Vanessa Bryant launched the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation to help keep their legacies alive.
In May, Vanessa Bryant honored Gianna on what would have been her 19th birthday, sharing a photo on Instagram of her in her basketball uniform.
"Happy birthday, Gigi! Mommy loves and misses you more than I could ever express," she captioned the photo. "I love you Gianna. ??19 ?? 5/1 #Mambacita."
Near the end of May, Vanessa Bryant celebrated the college graduation of her eldest child, Natalia Bryant, who graduated from the University of Southern California.
"We’re so proud of you @nataliabryant ! ????#USC ??#GRAD #CumLaude," she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the new graduate.
In January, Vanessa Bryant announced plans to release a book called "Mamba & Mambacita Forever" featuring the stories behind over 100 public murals in Los Angeles and around the world dedicated to the late basketball legend and his daughter, both of whom championed the sport of basketball and women's sports.
In addition to Gianna and Natalia, Vanessa Bryant shares two other daughters with her late husband: Bianka, and Capri.
In August, Vanessa Bryant, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri attended a Los Angeles Dodgers game, where Bianka threw the first pitch.
The Bryants all wore matching Dodgers jerseys with No. 24 on the back in honor of Kobe Bryant.
Prior to his death, Kobe Bryant spoke about the pride he felt in being the father of daughters.
ESPN reporter Elle Duncan said the NBA legend once high-fived her when she told him she was expecting a girl and told her, "Girls are the best ... Just be grateful you've been given that gift because girls are amazing."
On May 1, 2024, what would have been Gianna's 18th birthday, Vanessa Bryant and Nike released a special edition of Nike Kobe 8 "Mambacita" sneakers to mark the milestone.
And in February, Vanessa Bryant and her daughters attended a Los Angeles Lakers game in celebration of a 19-foot bronze statue of Kobe Bryant unveiled by the team.
Vanessa Bryant has said previously that her three surviving daughters gave her the strength to move forward after Kobe's and Gianna's deaths.
"My girls help me smile through the pain," she told People magazine in 2021. "They give me strength."

Natalia Bryant
Natalia Bryant was born on Jan. 19, 2003.
Vanessa Bryant marked her eldest daughter's 22nd birthday on Jan. 19, 2025, with a tribute on Instagram, writing, "To my first born, I love you so much! I’m so proud of the beautiful, smart, talented and loving young woman you are! You are kindness, light and love personified! Happy 22nd birthday @nataliabryant !!! We love you so much Nani-Banani! ?????"
In May 2025, Natalia Bryant graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor of fine arts in cinematic arts, film and television production, according to a video shared by her mom on Instagram.
The college graduate has previously attributed her love of cinema to her dad.
"One may wonder why I developed such a fondness for movies like 'Star Wars,' 'Harry Potter,' the complete Marvel universe and 'Goonies,' amongst many others," Natalia Bryant said at a 2023 Hollywood ceremony honoring Kobe Bryant. "Well, the reason behind it is that I watched all of these movies with my dad, and each of those memories I will never forget."
In addition to her film studies, Natalia Bryant is also a model.
She made her runway debut in September 2023 at the Versace Spring/Summer 2024 fashion show at Milan Fashion Week. In February, she shared on Instagram that she is also part of a modeling campaign with Victoria's Secret.
Natalia Bryant described" her late father as the "MPV of girl dads" in a 2023 speech.
"While most people knew him as a basketball player or a storyteller, I got to know and love him as my dad," Natalia Bryant said. "And let me tell you, he is the MVP of girl dads, to say the least. Being a dad of four girls is definitely not easy, but despite the NBA and Lakers schedules, he always made sure to support me and my sisters."
Gianna Bryant
Gianna Bryant, called Gigi by her family, was born May 1, 2006.
Gigi was said to be following in her dad's footsteps as a basketball player at the time of her death. Kobe and Gigi Bryant were on their way to a game at Bryant's Mamba Sports Academy when their helicopter crashed in Southern California on Jan. 26, 2020, killing all nine people onboard.
"They were so full of joy and adventure. God knew they couldn't be on this earth without each other. He had to bring them home to him together," Vanesa Bryant said of her husband and daughter at a public memorial following the crash. "Babe, you take care of our Gigi. And I got Nani, B.B. and Koko. We're still the best team."
In March 2020, Vanessa Bryant shared a video of her late husband gushing about Gianna, explaining that she asked him about the fundamentals of basketball and he taught her the game "piece by piece."
"It's been a joy to watch her grow and to be there every day for that process," Kobe Bryant says in the video. "Her temperament is a lot like mine. She's extremely competitive, very fiery, and backs down from no challenge ... she's a good mix of me and a good mix of her mama, so that makes her even more competitive than I am."
Vanessa Bryant's birthday tribute to her daughter on May 1, 2025, showcased Gianna as an athlete by including a photo of her wearing a basketball jersey.

Bianka Bryant
Bianka Bryant was born on Dec. 5, 2016.
Bianka got a special moment in the spotlight in August 2023 when she was chosen as the special fan who received Taylor Swift's hat during her performance of "22" at the first Los Angeles show of Swift's Eras Tour.
The two shared a huge hug before Swift gifted Bianka the black "22" hat inspired by her look in the "22" music video and planted a kiss on her cheek.
Vanessa Bryant shared the sweet moment on Instagram, captioning the photo, "We love you @taylorswift."
In December 2024, Vanessa Bryant paid tribute to Bianka for her 8th birthday on Instagram, calling her "our Sunshine."
"We love you so much, Bianka!" she wrote in the caption at the time. "You bring so much love and laughter into our lives. You are so loved mama! ?????? You say it’s your BB8 birthday, and I’ll keep reminding you it’s your daddy (#8 ) year. ??."
Capri Bryant
Capri Bryant was born on June 20, 2019.
On her fifth birthday in 2024, Vanessa Bryant shared photos of Capri on Instagram, writing, "Happy 5th birthday, Capri! ???You bring so much sunshine ?? to our lives with your smiles, giggles and sweet thoughtfulness. We love you to the moon and back, sweet princess! ?? 5?? ??"
During the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, Capri shared a sweet moment with basketball star Caitlin Clark.
Capri and Clark were spotted comparing their matching pink sneakers, special edition "WNBA All-Star" Nike Kobe 6s that Vanessa Bryant gifted to WNBA players prior to the game.
In 2023, the family celebrated Capri's fourth birthday with a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, photos of which Vanessa Bryant shared on Instagram.
